The view from this place has to be witnessed to truly appreciate it’s glory. The drive is a windy 17 miles from Port Angeles, Washington. As you drive into Olympic National Park and up the mountain, you get a just slight glimpse of what is to come once you reach the top. Get ready to enjoy a breathtaking view once you arrive!

A whale-watching excursion with Island Adventures Whale Watching Tours is hands down one of my most favorite things we have done as a family since moving to the Olympic Peninsula. Want to see Orcas or Humpback whales? We saw both!

The Dungeness Spit is a perfect family-friendly outing for a summer day on the Olympic Peninsula. Pack a little picnic, put on hiking shoes, check the tide schedule, make sure you have $3 cash and you are set.
