Pay it Forward with Kindness.

I am inspired by an act of kindness and hope you will be too!

My selfless cousin took to social media in order to spread kindness in her hometown. She set out to raise funds to give as a tip to one random, hard-working restaurant server. Her thinking (which I totally love) was that this simple act of generosity could be life-changing for this individual. If you have worked any job that depends on tips to make a decent wage, you totally understand. She was able to gather donations totaling $450 and gave the money as a HUGE tip to her lucky restaurant server. Isn’t that amazing?

Well, we think it would be a great idea to try this out locally. Considering the financial and emotional hardship of coronavirus now is a wonderful time to give and inspire hope in others!! Who wants in?

We are going to change it up a bit and not only tip our server HUGE but also gift patrons in the restaurant $50ish off their meal, depending on how much we are able to gather. Levi and I will donate $50 to get the ball rolling. Donations can be as minimal as $1, it truly does all add up! My Venmo is @Kileigh-Cahill or if you have PayPal my link is paypal.me/kileighknott. To keep it on the up and up we plan to sign everyone’s name who gave to this act of kindness on a card with the tip and dinner credit.

Even if you choose not to donate, please stay tuned as we gather the donations and surprise unsuspecting individuals! We will of course take lots of pictures.

Levi and I met working in the service industry. It was a great job to assist in paying our way through college. So it is only fitting that when we go out to dinner to celebrate our 12th anniversary next weekend that we gift the donations we have collected to our server and fellow diners.

A simple act of kindness during these times could go a very long way. We are soo excited to be a part of this and hope to encourage others to pay it forward. Here is how it turned out!
