And so it begins…

Our house is officially under contract. That means this dream of ours is really happening. It is go time!

Time to start packing our beloved belongings into boxes, selling replaceable furniture on Facebook, and saying goodbye to all the comforts of our home of which we have so enjoyed over the last two and a half years.  Time to load up our SUV with all the essentials a family or four may need to travel the States.

In my heart I know this is the path our family is meant to travel in this exact moment, however I can’t help but ask myself  “What in the world are we thinking?”  The reality of the seemingly insurmountable tasks right in front of us right now seems to be blurring the big picture and excitement that lays out ahead.

As we busily and most likely crazily get this house emptied and ready to turn over to another family eager to make it their home, we are going to keep reminding ourselves we are doing something we are blessed to have the chance to do.  We are in a sense pressing the pause button on the mundane routine of life that we so easily have been stuck in this last year, to spend quality family time exploring the country in search of our new home.
