Rainy Day Itinerary in Victoria BC

Looking for a rainy day plan while visiting Victoria BC? There are plenty of options for families needing some indoor time. We have managed to narrow it down for you, for what we believe to be a perfect plan for a day exploring Victoria BC adventures inside on a dreary day.

1-Start your day with a coffee (or tea), grab your umbrella, and make your way over to Miniature World. They open at 9. Check out the pricing for admission here. Plan for about two hours of walking around inside exploring Miniature World.

2-The Bug Zoo is a block away, so super easy to make a little dash in the rain. Just make sure to have your umbrella ready. Opening at 11 A.M. there is no schedule so just join the tour guide. You can explore the place on your own, but I would 100% recommend following the tour guide around for at least a little bit. You want to be able to hold the tarantula and hissing cock roach right?? Plus you will learn some fun facts and knowledge that you won’t get on a self guided tour.

3-By now it is time to eat, or else everyone is going to get hangry. Check out the Sticky Wicket. Kid and beer friendly with yummy food for everyone, and very affordable. (Again this is located just blocks from the Bug Zoo.)

4- Now its time to catch an IMAX @ The Royal BC Museum. In the evenings the museum plays an IMAX Hollywood feature. Check out the schedule here. When we were visiting it was Marvels, a hit with our kids. Since you just had lunch and a beer you may not have room, but are you really getting the full movie experience if you don’t get popcorn? There is a full snack counter to purchase all your movie treat favorites! If you happen to get to the museum too early for your showtime, the place is amazing to walk around. Plenty of interactive exhibits for everyone to enjoy. They do offer pricing to cover admission and a movie.

5-By now you all are probably getting exhausted! There is always the classic way to end an evening on vacation: swim at the hotel and order room service for dinner.

Enjoy a night cap in your cozy hotel room and sing “Rain Rain Go Away” before bed so you can spend the next day outside adventuring in beautiful Victoria BC.
