What events are you most looking forward to over the next month? Our family LOVES Teddy Bear Tea, but then Lake Crescent Lodge is amazing this time of year too with all the lights. We are going to take the Polar Express Train for the first time this year and couldn’t be more excited! Your event not on the list? November 22, 2019Kick off the holidays in downtown Port Angeles celebrating the 2nd year of the Winter Village! November 25, 2019This is the time to be giving! Windermere Real Estate offices in both Sequim and Port Angeles are collecting Toys for Tots . The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to ensure that every less fortunate child in Clallam County knows there is hope for the future, and receives a shiny new toy this Christmas Season. November 26, 2019Kiddos out of school? Family from out of town visiting? Take them to story time at the Port Angeles Library. Talk, sing, read, write, and play together in an interactive storytime specially designed for preschoolers. Share books, stories, rhymes, music, and movement. Preschool Storytime is designed to help caregivers and parents develop tools to help the children in their lives build early literacy skills and to better prepare for kindergarten. November 29, 2019Teddy Bear Tea is an adorable event the whole family is sure to love. You will enjoy photos with Santa, a chance to meet many of your favorite movie and holiday characters, cookies, tree viewing, a chance to win a raffle tree and fun entertainment.

November 30, 2019Head to downtown Port Angeles for the annual festive holiday celebration of lighting the Christmas Tree downtown.

The fun kicks off at 3:30 pm with live entertainment that includes dancing by Studio 360 and singing by Vocal Harmony and the Hamilton Choir. Santa will arrive to direct the lighting of the tree between 4:45 – 5:00 pm and drop the first dollar into the Salvation Army bucket to kick off their bell-ringing season. There will be time to mingle with Santa, take photos and enjoy some festive refreshments. Santa goodie bags will be provided by Odyssey Bookshop, hot chocolate to warm you up will be provided by Brown’s Outdoor, and holiday cookies will be provided by Downtown Port Angeles.

December 7, 2019“The Nutcracker” returns to Port Angeles as the annual family event of the holidays! This “Nutcracker’s” all-original staging is set in the great depression of Clallam County in 1895. Get ready to follow the adventure of young Marie and her brother, Frank, who are given a magical gift of a Nutcracker by their wealthy godfather, business tycoon Gregers M. Lauridsen, at their family’s Christmas Eve barn dance. Set to Tchaikovsky’s traditional Nutcracker score, this home-grown production will capture your heart as it pays tribute to the rich history of life on the Olympic Peninsula at the turn of the Civil War era.

December 24, 2019Santa will be stopping by Lake Quinault Lodge on Christmas Eve! If you keep an eye out you may see him and one of his pack llamas coming up from the lake. And you thought Santa only employed Reindeer! Santa will settle in by the fireplace to read the Night Before Christmas, visit with all the good little boys and girls, and hand out presents. After Santa’s visit we’ll be roasting chestnuts over an open fire ’till they pop, pop, pop! What a fun little tradition on the night before Christmas.
